The largest dinosaur in existence now stands at the Field Museum. Spydercrane helped make it happen.

They call him Máximo. He stands nearly 30 feet tall and stretches 122 feet across in skeletal structure alone. He was probably even longer in his own skin.

His femur alone measures 8 feet long.

Máximo is the largest dinosaur on record. A titanosaur Patagotitan mayorum , the largest dinosaur to ever exist. He's gone from the Argentine desert terrain to the exhibit floor at the Field Museum in Chicago.

Máximo had to be re-assembled one bone at a time.

The painstaking process took careful, steady hands, expert training, and trusted equipment.

To help keep some of Máximo's incredibly rare, delicate pieces in place, the Field Museum used our Spydercrane URW 295 mini crawler crane.

It was an incredible honor to be part of this moment in not only the museum's history, but in Chicago history. The team here at Great Lakes Lifting would like to thank the Field Museum for allowing us to be a part of the project. We're glad to help give Máximo a new home where he can meet millions of visitors happy and eager to learn of his rich history.
